Archive 18-20 launches in exclusivity its very first collection
For this first edition, the Parisian label Archive 18-20 offers a men's wardrobe whose refined workmanship meets an urban and contemporary universe creating a perfect alchemy.
By Marion Sajot
The Archive 18-20 man is a plural man. Plural by its inspirations but also by its way of breaking codes, of mixing contrasts. Between luxury and streetwear, between masculinity and femininity, between elegance and casualness, the label plays with conventions. Its iconic pieces, whose workmanship is reminiscent of the one of the great houses, are enhanced with an urban touch, as if to thumb the nose at the rigour of tailoring.
The brand is also created by a woman for men. And it is from this duality that the plurality of Archive 18-20 is born. Inspired by her favourite pieces from her personal wardrobe, Séverine Lahyani constantly plays around covering tracks and does not hesitate to have her collections, even though they are indeed masculine, worn by women.

The silhouettes of the SS19 collection are elegant and casual, the vintage prints are modernized by incursions of bright colours - purple, green, yellow - creating an alchemy between past and future. The hoodie is worn with tartan pants and the checkered jacket contrasts with the cargo shorts. The vegetal patterns of the fluid shirts contrast with the technical fabrics of the jackets. The corduroy of the overshirts meets the reflective technology of a lightweight coat visible at night. The T-shirt is never basic and the polo shirt is never classic because they both display the label's logo in an ostensible way for a resolutely contemporary look.
